Article:		innovITS report on cooperative ITS sytems
More Information:		innovITS has published a report on the theme of cooperative V2V and V2I systems with safety and environmental benefits. The report captures the main outcomes from a series of industry workshops held between February and May 2009 exploring the challenges and priorities for development of cooperative systems. The workshops have highlighted that the development of appropriate business cases are as important as the technology challenges. The report emphasises that the business case is easier to make for Commercial customers rather than personal customers Fuel cost and CO2 reduction applications Safety application for the road network as a whole rather than individual vehicles.
