Cooperative Active Safety and Environment ( CoASE ) workshop on “Integrated Safety Systems and Co-operative Systems” |

This workshop, based around the EU Framework Programme 7 ( FP7) ICT call 6, will raise awareness of the ICT for mobility Environment Sustainability & Energy Efficiency call.
EU Framework Programme 7 ( FP7) ICT call 6 launches on the 25th November 2009 with a budget of €37m.
This workshop, jointly run with Transport iNet and funded by East Midlands Development Agency will cover the relevant themes within the call:-
• Field Operational Tests for Integrated safety Systems and Co-operative systems
• ICT-based systems and services for smart urban mobility and new mobility concepts
• Coordination and support actions in the framework of the Intelligent Car initiative
• International cooperation
Morning presentations will look at
• current market trends,
• the causes of accidents and how they can be avoided,
• new active safety systems,
• the new ITS testing facilities in the Midlands and
• FP7 ICT mobility call.
The afternoon will have an FP7 Framework Opportunity, proposals and Partnering session, with a Q&A session, followed by a consortia building workshop.
We have planned to have an EU commission person present to offer ‘one to ones’ in which proposers can get to talk with a Commission officer about their ideas. This will be confirmed when the agenda is issued.
