Article:		New Transport Knowledge Transfer Network available
More Information:		The new Transport Knowledge Transfer Network (available along with 17 other groups on the new Technology Strategy Board supported collaboration space, _connect) covers road, rail and marine and replaces and extends the activities of the Low Carbon and the Intelligent Transport Systems KTNs. Essentially, this extends us beyond automotive, to actively include other surface transportation modes including rail, marine and inland waterways. By seeking out and enabling cross fertilisation and new synergies across supply chains and transport modes as well as seeking innovative business opportunities from greater intermodal integration, we hope that involvement in this network will help us to all to come up with some new ways of thinking, and implementation of innovative solutions to address such crucial issues as congestion and safety on our roads, and CO2 emissions. We hope you will join us and help shape the future of UK transport with the Transport KTN.
