 More Information:   As part of its Enabling Innovation Initiative, UK Trade and Investment is organising a major programme of business activity in China.

Enabling Innovation – UK China partnership in ICT was launched in October 2008, with support from some of the UK’s leading industry players such as ARM, BT, Sony Ericsson & Vodafone. To date, the initiative has helped over 100 UK companies to better understand the market opportunities and potential technology collaborations with top Chinese multinationals.

The activity programme includes trade delegations of around 50 companies during the week commencing 5th July.

The programme of activity will include
· seminars and panel sessions
· site visits to key Chinese companies
· one to one meetings
· table top exhibitions
· UK Government hosted networking events
· PR Support Package

Three simultaneous trade delegations will visit China in the margins of Shanghai World Expo (the World Expo runs 1-3rd September). The focus for each delegation is:

Delegation 1 - Communications and M2M and will visit Beijing; Guangzhou & Shenzhen; Wuxi; Shanghai
Delegation 2 - Consumer Electronics & Electronic Design and will visit Beijing; Chengdu; Qingdao; Shanghai
Delegation 3 - e-Health & telemedicine and will visit Beijing; Chengdu; Shenzhen; Shanghai

There will be a management charge of £250 (inc VAT) for each company taking part.
