The ITS Technology Roadmap aims to present to the ITS community the market drivers and opportunities together with the technology challenges to help accelerate innovation in ITS. The roadmap also provides an evidence base to assist the Technology Strategy Board in defining funding strategies through the ITSS Innovation Platform.

The ITS technology roadmap is a collaborative project with the ITS KTN acting as the co-ordination point. We are working closely with other KTNs such as Location and Timing and Industrial Mathematics to develop relevant technology sections. Contributions are welcomed from all sectors of the ITS industry and associated technology industries. To contribute to or comment on any aspect of the roadmap please contact Richard Kemp-Harper.

The roadmap in electronic form is available online to registered KTN members. The pages linked below provide a summary of some of the roadmap as an introduction to the concept. The sections defined come from the Department for Transport ITS policy framework.
