About innovITS
The ITS KTN is managed by innovITS, the UK Centre for Excellence in ITS, which was established in response to recommendations from the Automotive Innovation & Growth Team (AIGT) The ITS Centre for Excellence has the fundamental objective of achieving a world-class position for the UK ITS industry, seeking out inventive telematics technology to integrate on a realistic scale and validate that it delivers value to road users and transport operators. As a result, it acts as a catalyst for subsequent deployment and commercial exploitation. innovITS is industry, market, and public sector focused and brings together collaborative business networks and facilitates in the delivery of high quality ITS solutions. These solutions are drawn from the wide and diverse range of converging industry sectors that make up Intelligent Transport Systems. The Knowledge Transfer Network , together with the Innovation Platform that it supports, are pivotal components that help enable the delivery of these innovative ITS solutions. Both of these components also support the ITS industry as well as innovITS in its role as a catalyst in the delivery of new ITS concepts, product and services. |
