There is now an opportunity for interested parties to apply for details on submitting a proposal to undertake work to supply and install a GNSS Denial facility at innovITS's ADVANCE facilitiy.

Outline of GNSS Denial facility requirement

A system to attenuate the GNSS signal provided to vehicle on-board or nomadic devices for location based services.  The denial system will simulate ‘urban canyons’, a key determinant of performance for location-based systems operating in modern city environments where satellite obscuration and multipath propagation can compromise signal availability.

This might form the basis for future work providing similar ‘denial’ for communications in addition to location.

The system will need to integrate with the control system for the whole ADVANCE facility.
